Get the Latest Version of the Player.

Even if you already have a Real Player or Windows Media player, you may have to download a newer version. A player that is only a few months old may already be out of date and no longer work correctly--or at all.
An error message that mentions the "codec" is a good indication that your player is out of date.
If you have an old player but cannot connect, download the latest version.

Why Streaming Video Starts And Stops On The Internet.
A common complaint when watching streaming video on the Internet is that the video seems to start and stop which can be distracting. The primary reason that video can sometimes stop is that your PC is waiting to receive further data.

Buffering is a normal process of live streaming. It is a good thing. What is happening is the video server is sending the stream to the player which in turn stores (buffers) the data for a few seconds.
This way, if Net Congestion occurs, the stream doesn't stop dead, it will continue to play for a few seconds. This gives the video server and player time to reconnect with one another and start to
re-send the data which was lost.

Congestion on the Internet may affect or suspend your ability to access the video stream. If this happens wait for a few seconds and the clip will begin playing again. In extreme cases you may have to try a different time of day to access the files
