2008 Fishing Season
We have included "general information" regarding the 2004 fishing season in our "frequently asked questions". You can also read the Weekly Updates from the Oregon Fish and Wildlife.

Halibut--The following Halibut scheduled has been set by Oregon Fish & Wildlife:

Salmon--TBA

Tuna--Tuna fishing generally starts around July and goes through September. Fishing is dependent on the water temperature. It must be between 59-62 degrees.

Changes in the 2008 regulations

Marine Zone

Shellfish:

Razor claming is open from the Columbia River at Astoria to Tillamook Head and from the North Spit of the Umpqua River to Coos Head at Charleston (includes inside the bays). All other areas are closed due to the presence of domoic acid. All other claming and mussel harvesting remain open.
